Hobart Harmon is a national education consultant and evaluator. Previous experiences include high school teacher, university teacher educator, senior research and development specialist at a Regional Educational Laboratory, and state department of education official. He travels across the U.S. making presentations, conducting workshops, and performing various educational planning, evaluation and research services. His articles have appeared in American School Board Journal, Phi Delta Kappan, The School Administrator, The High School Magazine, Principal Leadership, The Rural Educator, Journal of Research in Rural Education, Vocational Education Journal, The State Education Standard, and Perspectives Journal of Research and Opinion About Educational Service Agencies. Harmon received the Ph.D. degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He lives in Timberville, VA with his wife Sharon and 5 children.
Ben Dickens is a consultant and president of Consultants International. Dr. Dickens provides a variety of services, primarily focused on parent and community engagement. He has traveled the U.S., Australia and England in search of successful parent involvement practices. He also conducts Educate-The-Educator workshops for school districts and other organizations that teach principles of adult learning and facilitate team building skills. Ben and his wife Kay are food enthusiasts, who experiment with new recipes and participate in numerous community-based culinary events such as chili cook-offs and BBQs. Dickens received the Ed.D. degree from Auburn University. Ben and Kay live near Huntington, WV. |
